Propane companies Oy Linde Gas Ab (AGA) and Kosan Gas Finland Oy are withdrawing 11 and 33 kg propane steel cylinders, marked with the 2036 number, from the market
There are some LPG cylinders on the market where the cylinder valve may pose a safety risk. Internal inspections of filling plants have found individual bottles with too loose valves, which poses a potential risk of leakage during heavy use.
The cylinders have been inspected at filling plants before deliveries to customers and no leaks have been detected, but as a precautionary measure, the propane operators Oy Linde Gas Ab (AGA) and Kosan Gas Finland Oy have decided to withdraw all the propane cylinders from this batch from the market.
Recall applies only 11 and 33 kg side valve cylinders with the marking 2036 sold from October 11 to November 17 2021
The recall only applies to the 11 kg and 33 kg side valve steel cylinders that were purchased from October 11 to November 17 2021 and that have the stamp “2036” as shown below.
If the stamp includes also the text “UN1965”, the cylinder does NOT need to be returned.

Liquified petroleum gas is a combustible gas that is in a liquid state in a bottle. It is non-toxic, but can be repressive, especially at high concentrations. LPG is about 1.5 times heavier than air and therefore LPG should be stored and handled in well-ventilated areas. For safety reasons, a strong fragrance is added to the LPG to warn of possible leaks.
Safety is at the heart of our operations. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, we have decided to recall the cylinders identified above.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
